Contractors are required to abate weedy lots identified by the City, defined as areas violating the City of Edinburg Growth of Weeds Ordinance, with weeds or vegetation exceeding 24 inches. Services extend to mowing, debris and trash removal, and abatement on various lot sizes, including adjacent streets, following City-provided property lists of up to ten lots per assignment. Assignments are issued weekly, and contractors must begin within two working days and complete within five calendar working days. Payment is based on lot classification and completion, with requirements for timely invoices and documentation. Strict adherence to disposal requirements and City ordinances regarding trash is mandated. Work standards include mowing grass to heights between two and five inches, trimming around structures and hard surfaces, and proper removal of clippings and debris.
