The Work generally consists of, but is not limited to, the following: Base Bid: Removal of existing asphalt roofing shingles, existing system underlayment, gutters and downspouts, and all related accessories down to existing plywood roof decking and fascia material. Install new metal roofing system, gutters and downspounts, and system components and accessories per the drawings and specifications. Base bid includes pressure washing existing sheet metal trim and soffit vents as well as painting existing painted gable end panels and decorative columns. Alternate One: Removal of existing sheet metal trims and installation of new sheet metail trim. Alternate Two: Replacement of four existing unit skylights. Allowance: See Section 01 21 00 for details. Bidders must be registered and signed into the plan room to submit a bid. Each bid must include a completed Minority, Women's and Veteran's Business Enterprise Participation Plan detailing good faith efforts to include such enterprises as subcontractors or material suppliers, a bid security for 5% of the total bid, and the contractor's written drug testing program in compliance with IC 4-13-18. Bids not providing the required documentation may be considered incomplete. The owner reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to waive any irregularities. The selected bidder must execute a satisfactory contract within 10 days after notice of acceptance or risk forfeiture of bid security as liquidated damages.
