The project is a Community Development Block Grant program project and involves the installation of approximately 7,900 linear feet of a six-foot (6ft.) wide sidewalk system. The project consists of general construction activities associated with sidewalk installation. The project specifically addresses a lack of sidewalks within a geographical area of the city. The project is financed by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and administered by the Florida Department of Commerce (Florida Commerce). The results of the bid opening will be posted online after the bid opening is complete. Attention to bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract, Section 109 of Executive Order 11246, and all applicable laws and regulations of the Federal government and bonding and insurance requirements. The city reserves the right to waive any irregularities or to reject any and all bids. The city is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Each bidder must deposit with his/her bid a security in the amount, form and as described in the conditions as provided in the Information for Bidders. Sureties used for obtaining bonds must appear as acceptable according to the Department of Treasury Circular 570. Each bid must be submitted, in triplicate, on the prescribed Proposal forms.
