Addition of ADA Accessible Lift at Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf (MSAD) State Project Number 44DA0049 Addition of ADA Accessible Lift at Minnesota Academy for the Deaf (MSAD) A. The work will be done under one prime contract that includes: General, Mechanical, Demolition, Remediation, and Electrical construction. B. The following summary is a general guide to the scope of work. It should not be construed as a detailed list of work included in the contract. 1. Addition of enclosed Vertical Wheelchair Platform Lift at the Frank Turk auditorium in the Historic Noyes Building 2. Remove the existing ductwork and associated fire/smoke damper. Provide and install new ductwork routed to the filter box beneath the stage. 3. Provide all necessary electrical power connections and relocate existing fire alarm conduits and low-voltage devices. 4. Demolish existing wall and portion of stage slab as shown on the plans to accommodate the new lift. Construct new walls to provide structural reinforcement for the stage slab. Fireproofing structural elements and patching as needed. 5. Provide all finishes, soffits, and ceiling in accordance with the plans and specifications. Est. Completion Date: March 31, 2026 This solicitation includes qualification requirements. Attachment C of the Response Form contains the qualification requirements for the solicitation. Qualification requirements include, but are not limited to: Responding company has completed as a Prime Contractor, not as a subcontractor, the work for at least three (3) contracts which have achieved Substantial Completion since November 1, 2020, for construction of similar scope of work. Each of these contracts MUST have had a construction value of $150,000 or greater. OR In lieu of Responding company's projects, Responder may provide on the form below up to three (3) qualifying projects completed by the Project Manager while employed by others, which have achieved Substantial Completion since November 1, 2020, for similar for scope of work and value of $150,000 or greater. Project Manager responsible for this project EACH has had at least five (5) years of experience with general contracting construction similar in scope of work and value to this project. Each of these contracts must have had a construction value of $150,000 or greater. This solicitation includes required insurance as recommended for the project's specifications and scope of work.
