The Project includes a new increased size water line on Jacobs Street from Graham Drive to Stoneybrook Drive, to provide adequate fire flow to support the sprinkler system at the new Athens county children's Services facility. Question Deadline 11/28/2025 Should a question arise at any time during the examination ofBid Documents or investigation ofthe site theBiddermay seek clarification by submitting a Pre-bid Question. Submit all Pre-bid Questions in writing to: Gillian Garland, Assistant Engineer ofthe City of Athens Engineering and Public Works Department, 30 Curran Drive, Athens, Ohio 45701, ggarland@ci.athens.oh.us. or by fax 740-592-4907. Each Bid shall contain the full name and address of each personor company interested in the same. It shall be accompanied by a Proposal Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) ofthe Bid, or by a certified check, cashier's check or irrevocableletter of credit for ten percent (10%) of the Bid, made payable tothe City of Athens, Ohio, conditioned that if the Bid is accepted, aContract will be entered into within thirty (30) days after Notice ofAcceptance. A Performance Bond of one hundred percent (100%)of the amount of the Contract with a satisfactory Surety Company,conditioned according to law, will be required for the faithful performance of the Contract. The City of Athens reserves the right to waive informalities as maybe in its best interest.
