To all interested Engineering and Architecture Firms: The Outdoor Recreation Council of Appalachia (ORCA) intends to contract for architectural and engineering services in connection with the following projects potentially being funded in full or in part by potentially utilizing State of Ohio Fund 7031 or 7035 Capital Improvement program administered by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. Description: Chauncey-Dover Park Trailhead will add camping at the large trailhead with new restroom and shower facilities extend and connect to existing sewer and water systems, new lighting (solar preferred), an equipment storage building, walking trails connecting camp sites to planned a visitor center, develop an open-air educational/entertainment pavilion in the center of Depot trail, a bike washing station, interpretive signage and native landscaping, and re-grade and pave the 0.47 mile Chauncey Depot Trail for ADA accessibility. Total Project Budget: $2,000,000 The Architecture/Engineering scope of work will include project design, preparation of bidding specifications and drawings, review of bids, pre- and postconstruction meetings, construction oversight as required, and obtaining all necessary permits. As required by Ohio Revised Code 153.65-71, firms will be evaluated and ranked in order of their qualifications based on the evaluation factors listed in the full application. Representatives of ORCA will enter into contract negotiations with the most highly qualified firm. Please submit separate proposals for each project that your firm is interested in. Please also state the amount of time that your firm believes would be necessary to have project(s) designed and ready to bid after initial date of Architectural / Engineering contract begins.
