Site work, paving, outdoor lighting and new construction of a mixed-use development in Athens, Ohio. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

To all interested Engineering and Architecture Firms: The Outdoor Recreation Council of Appalachia (ORCA) intends to contract for architectural and engineering services in connection with the following projects potentially being funded in full or in part by potentially utilizing State of Ohio Fund 7031 or 7035 Capital Improvement program administered by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. Baileys Trail System- Buchtel- Snow Fork Trailhead: The trailhead site is intended to have automobile entrance(s)/ exit(s) on OH SR's 78 and 685. Project site requires grading and fill for development of a gravel trailhead parking lot, new restroom facilities connected to existing sewer and water systems, new lighting, and new a shelter house with picnic tables. Additionally, the Buchtel-Snow Fork Trailhead will include a bike/pedestrian trail bridge across Snow Fork stream, a mixed gravel and natural surface connector trail from the trailhead on undeveloped land, through a portion of Snow Fork Event Center, and connect to the Baileys Trail System in the Wayne National Forest. The Architecture/Engineering scope of work will include project design, preparation of bidding specifications and drawings, review of bids, pre- and post- construction meetings, construction oversight as required, and obtaining all necessary permits. As required by Ohio Revised Code 153.65-71, firms will be evaluated and ranked in order of their qualifications based on the evaluation factors listed in the full application. Representatives of ORCA will enter into contract negotiations with the most highly qualified firm. Please submit separate proposals for each project that your firm is interested in. Please also state the amount of time that your firm believes would be necessary to have project(s) designed and ready to bid after initial date of Architectural / Engineering contract begins.
