Site work and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in Athens, Ohio. Working plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field.
As of 02/1/23 owner did not receive any bids for this project. For construction of West State Street Park Restrooms for the Athens Community Arts, Parks & Recreation Department All work must be completed by State and City licensed bonded and insured contractors. It shall be accompanied by a proposal bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid, or by a certified check, cashier's check or irrevocable letter of credit for ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the City of Athens, Ohio, conditioned that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into within ten (10) days after notice of acceptance. The bidder will be required to state in full detail on his/her proposal his/her experience in this class of work, and bids from contractors inexperienced in this particular class of work will not be considered. The work shall commence upon written notice of award by the City of Athens. The Contractor must comply with the Prevailing Wage Rate on public improvements in Athens County, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Bureau of Wage and Hour Administration, 614.644.2239. The City of Athens reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids and to waive informalities as may be in its best interest.
