Site work and paving for a road / highway in Athens, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The work for which proposals are invited consists of a 2" asphalt paving on various sections of multiple roads of the 112 lane miles of the Athens Township road system. This shall be bid on a unit price basis and prices shall be good until 11/30/2023, unless the ODOT Asphalt Binder Index fluctuates more than +or-10%. A considerable amount of this work is attached to an area of the Township where the Athens County Water & Sewer District has recently constructed a new sewer system, We are requesting unit prices for the paving to be used on an "as needed" basis calling for a varying timeline and projects. Mobilization costs shall be a function of the associated unit price. The township commits to combining multiple roads in a same general vicinity to each other with a goal of no less than 150 cubic yards. There will be some milling required on an as needed basis and shall be included as an yd2 price. Line painting price on as needed basis and shall be per foot unit price. All traffic control is by the contractor and shall be a function of the associated unit price.
