The Athens County Commissioners, on behalf of the Athens County Water/Sewer District, are requesting Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) as required by ORC $153.65-153.99 for professional engineering services to provide engineering services for the US Route 50 West Corridor Sewer Project. The focus of the work needed by ACWSD at this point, is an Evaluation of a previously completed Engineering Design, Analysis of Realistic cost estimates, & Prompt Assistance in obtaining more Funding. Time if of the essence. person, address, and telephone number, history of the firm and the number of years in business, listing of key personnel with resumes, experience the firm has with similar projects and a list of references. SOQ will only be considered from well established firms having experience for communities similar to the ACWSD. The firm proposed project manager shall be identified, shall be a professional engineer registered in the State of Ohio, and have sufficient experience in completing similar projects. Any person, firm or company rendering professional engineering services in regard to said work in the RFQ shall have and maintain a professional liability insurance policy or policies with a company or companies authorized to do business in the State of Ohio and that affords professional liability coverage for the professional services rendered. The insurance shall be in an amount considered sufficient by ACWSD. The SOQs received from professional engineering firms will be evaluated and ranked in order of their qualifications. ACWSD will evaluate the SOQ related to professional engineering qualifications necessary to perform services in the RFQ. ACWSD will then enter into contract negotiations with the selected firm. The evaluation and selection by the County will be final and not subject to appeal. Upon entering into a contract, professional services are to begin immediately and be completed in accordance with a schedule agreed to by both parties. The ACWSD reserves the right to accept or reject any and all SOQs and enter into a contract with the firm that the County considers best qualified.
