The project consists of re-coating the interior and exterior surfaces of two elevated water storage tanks owned and operated by the Geauga County Department of Water Resources. The scope of work described herein shall apply to both structures unless otherwise specified. The tanks were last inspected in 2017 and the reports provided for background information and reference. Tanks shall be cleaned and treated to remove all mill scale, dirt, and other foreign substances from all the steel by sand, grit, or shot blasting, or by an approved acid pickling process. Manufacturer's standard process shall be used. The Contractor shall provide all labor, material, tools and equipment required to paint all interior and exterior surfaces of the tanks. Note that the Scope of Work shall include painting of all tank accessories including miscellaneous metals, handrails, ladders, dry well, hatches, manholes and piping
