The Lexington County Department of Public Works is seeking proposals from South Carolina Department of Transportation approved contractors for the purpose of resurfacing Sandhills Parkway and Foster Brothers Drive in West Columbia, SC. The work includes mobilization, maintenance of traffic, milling of existing asphalt, full depth asphalt patching, paving, and all other work associated with the resurfacing of these roads for a total of approximately 3,722 LF of roadway. The limits of work are described herein along with Standard Specifications that detail specific items of work. Note 1: If a change in Quantities is warranted during construction, it shall be requested and approved in accordance with the "Estimated Quantities" provision as stated in the General Conditions. Note 2: All work done by the Contractor must be in accordance with the South Carolina Department of Transportation Standard Specification for Highway Construction, latest edition, unless otherwise instructed by Lexington County Department of Public Works and be warranted for a period of 2-year from the time of completion against any defect, failure, etc. caused by the materials, workmanship, etc. Note 3: Contingent items are not to be used without prior approval of the Engineer There are no official plans/drawings for this project.
