The project consists of the renovation of a portion of the existing first floor tenant space of the Department of Revenue in the Stassen building on the Capitol Complex. The work will be completed under one prime contract that includes general, mechanical, demolition, and electrical construction. The scope includes selective demolition as required for new work, minor new construction of architectural walls, repair or replacement of existing ceiling grid and tiles, replacement or addition of ceiling acoustic insulation, new door installation, minor modification of existing plumbing (including new fixtures), modification or new construction of electrical systems (including connecting demountable walls and furniture, low-voltage pathways, and rough-ins), modification or new construction of mechanical systems (including thermostat relocation, VAV boxes and controls), modification of lighting systems and integration of lighting controls, modification or new construction of fire suppression systems and fire alarm system, and preparation and coordination with work scopes outside of this contract that are provided by the Owner (including demountable partitions, casework, furniture, and AV technology). Additional work includes painting and flooring. Specifically excluded scopes of work are casework, demountable partitions, furniture, security controls, low-voltage/data cabling, and audio visual equipment, which will all be provided by the Owner or their vendors.
