Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Starkville, Mississippi. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project; one-story above grade water / sewer project; and one-story above grade water / sewer project.

Work consists of construction of a new headworks facility, secondary clarifier improvements, and return sludge pump station improvements. The maximum time allowable for completion is five hundred and forty (540) calendar days following the written order to commence. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a 100% payment and performance bond if the bid equals or exceeds $25,000. Proposals must be accompanied by a guaranty consisting of a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check in the amount of 5% of the amount of the bid. All persons having a contract must adhere to policy concerning non-discrimination. For bids equal to or exceeding fifty thousand dollars, a Certificate of Responsibility Number must be written on the outside of the envelope containing the bids. If the bid is less than $50,000, mark on the outside that the bid does not exceed $50,000. For electronic submittals, the same information must be included as an attachment. Bids for work outside of the classification listed for any bidder shall be returned unopened. Preference must be given to materials grown, produced, prepared, made, or manufactured within Mississippi, unless others of equal or better quality at less or reasonable cost are available elsewhere. No materials grown, produced, prepared, made, or manufactured outside the United States may be used unless not available domestically. Preference is given to resident contractors; nonresident bidders must include with their bid a copy of their resident state's current law on treatment of nonresident contractors. Proof of actual insurance coverage must be submitted within five business days from bid acceptance.
