Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Starkville, Mississippi. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.

Work will take place at the Bluefield Water Treatment, located at 1590 Bluefield Rd, Starkville, MS 39759. The work consists of the rehabilitation of a greensand pressure filter, replacing control valves, replacing control panels, installing chemical feed pumps, installing chlorine cylinder storage building, electrical improvements, and replacing building shingle roof with metal roofing. Proposals must be accompanied by a proposal guaranty consisting of a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check in the amount of 5% of the amount of the bid. The maximum time allowable for completion is three hundred (300) calendar days following the City's written order to commence (Notice to Proceed). The successful bidder will be required to furnish a 100% payment and performance bond if the bid equals or exceeds $25,000. If the bid is less than $25,000, the City may elect to make a lump sum payment at the completion of the job, in which case a payment and performance bond shall not be required. All persons with a contract with the City must adhere to the City's policy concerning non-discrimination without regard to race, creed, color, age, sex, national origin, or handicap. On bids which equal or exceed fifty thousand dollars ($50,000), the Certificate of Responsibility Number issued by the Mississippi State Board of Contractors must be written on the outside of the envelope containing the bids. Bids of less than $50,000 will be marked on the outside that the bid contained within does not exceed $50,000. For electronic bids, include the same information as an attachment with the electronic bid submittal. Bids for work outside of the classification listed for any bidder shall be returned unopened.
