Repair, recovery and installation of new surface materials to the roof of the Paul F Doyon Memorial Elementary School. Paul F. Doyon Memorial Elementary School 216 Linebrook Road, Ipswich, Massachusetts Contractor Qualification DCAMM Certificate Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. The estimated contract cost of this project is $240,000. Question Deadline 11/24/2025 at 3:00 PM ET Any bidder with questions or clarifications may contact the school district's procurement officer in writing or via email: Thomas Markham, Director of Finance & Operations Ipswich Public Schools 1 Lord Square Ipswich, MA 01938 or via email at tmarkham@ipsk12.net Upon award of contract to successful bidder, the work is to commence soon thereafter and to be completed by December 31, 2025. A. The Work under the Contract consists of: 1. All Work either shown on the Drawings or included in the Specifications unless specifically indicated as not to be done. 2. Without limiting the generality thereof, furnishing all labor and material for the Single Ply Roof Replacement at the Ipswich Doyon School Roof as shown the drawings, including but not limited to the following: a. Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and related services needed and install KEE thermoplastic membrane in membrane adhesive, fascia and flashing and new gutter necessary to satisfactorily complete the entire work. B. In addition, the Work under the Contract includes: 1. Work outside the Project Site as called for in the Contract Documents and as required for the performance of the Work. 2. The restoration of any items damaged or destroyed by encroaching upon areas outside the Project Site. 3. Providing and restoring, where appropriate, all temporary facilities. 4. GRAVEL REMOVAL WORK MUST BE PERFORMED ON WEEKENDS ONLY. EXISTING STONE BALLAST TO BE RE-USED ON ROOF AREAS AS INDICATED. C. The site/building and adjacent site/buildings will be occupied during construction. The Contractor shall take all necessary precautions to ensure the public safety and convenience of the occupants during construction. D. The Work must be completed in a continuous uninterrupted operation. The Contractor must use sufficient personnel and adequate equipment to complete all the necessary Work requirements within a minimum period of time. E. The Contractor is responsible for the security of partially completed Work until the Final Acceptance of Work by the Awarding Authority. F. Only materials and/or equipment intended and necessary for immediate use shall be brought into the Project area. At the end of each workday and at the completion of each phase of Work, equipment and leftover or unused materials shall be removed from the area. G. Smoking is not permitted on site or in buildings/facilities. 1. Furnish all labor, materials and equipment necessary to perform the scope of work below. 2.Remove and dispose of 4,000 sq ft of wet insulation down to the substrate Tectum deck and replace Vapor Barrier, insulation and 1 SBS ply in kind. 3. Remove existing gutter and edge metal from the entire perimeter. 4.Wrap all perimeter blocking with high temperature nail sealable underlayment- Rmer Seal -to extend 2" past the lowest course of blocking. 5. Furnish and install new .060 Fleece Backed KEE membrane adhered to the exisiting coated SBS membrane with spatter spray adhesive. 6.Furnish and install new .060 KEE flashings @ curb, wall, penetration and counterflashing's per mfr. requirements. 7. Install new gutters on both sides of the roof and associated down spouts every 25 ft. 8.Furnish and install new .040 aluminum KEE clad shop fabricated drip edge fascia with continuous cleat per mfr. requirements - standard color. 9. Job site to be cleaned daily.
