The City is seeking bids for the purchase and installation of approximately 296 water meters with encoded output registers and cellular readouts in industrial, commercial, institutional and residential buildings. The City also wishes to acquire an automated water meter reading system using cellular communication, in accordance with the specifications set out in the technical clauses contained in the tender documents. Individuals and companies interested in submitting a bid may obtain a copy of the tender documents and all related documents through the Electronic Tendering System (SEAO) by paying the fees set out in the current price list established by the organization. The supply and installation of water meters must be completed within one hundred and eighty (180) calendar days of the contract being awarded. The first half of the meters must be installed no later than ninety (90) days after the contract is awarded. The automated meter reading system must also be installed as soon as the first meters are put into service. The City reserves the right to apply penalties of five hundred pounds ($500.00) per working day of delay if this deadline is exceeded.
