The City of Rushville is soliciting Statements of Qualifications from professional engineering firms for construction observation of the reconstruction of Historic Lafayette Street west of downtown Rushville. The improvements will include a reclaimed brick paver surface on an HMA base, combination concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk, driveway pavement, concrete paving, ornamental lighting, and landscaping. The construction project will take place on Lafayette Street from just west of S. Jackson Street to and including the S. Monroe Street intersection, totaling approximately 716 ft or 0.14 miles in length. An IDOT prequalified engineering firm will be selected to perform Phase III Construction Observation. Services required will include, but are not limited to: completing all necessary IDOT formwork, construction observation, and construction documentation utilizing IDOT CMMS software. Construction observation and documentation must adhere to IDOT requirements. Interested firms should submit the following in their statement of qualifications: project contacts, information about the firm, a narrative of the firm's interest, abilities, and qualifications, resumes of key personnel, information on similar projects with descriptions and references, and IDOT prequalification categories. Submittals should not include any information on estimates of time or cost to complete the engineering work. Submittals are limited to 20 pages and three hard copies must be submitted to the office of the Rushville City Clerk. Statements will be evaluated based on technical approach, firm experience, staff capabilities, specialized experience, past performance, and project management approach.
