Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Marion, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade water / sewer project.

The Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, trenching/backfilling and materials required for completing the work as specified or as shown on the Plans. This shall include but not be limited to, furnishing and installing the following: (a) The Contractor shall furnish and install a new permanent electrical service and miscellaneous appurtenances, as shown on the plans at the following locations. 1. Existing 150,000 Gallon Elevated Tank (b) The Contractor shall furnish trenching and backfilling necessary for furnishing and installing underground electrical systems. (c) The Contractor shall install electrical items furnished by others. This shall include but is not limited to telemetry equipment, pump control panels, pressure switches, limit switches, pressure transducers, auxiliary pump run contacts, antenna/masts and radio antenna cables. (d) The Contractor shall furnish and install all conduit, wire, fittings and hardware for a complete operating electrical system. (e) The Contractor shall furnish and install all final power and control connections for all electrical equipment. This shall include checking motor rotation and changing terminal connections as may be required to provide correct motor rotation and shall include assisting other trades in accomplishing a proper startup of all equipment in an efficient manner. Pulaski County will receive bids for the rehabilitation, painting, repair, and containment of an existing 150,000 gallon elevated storage tank. Bids are invited for the following items: Base Bid - Elevated Storage Tank Rehabilitation (Lump Sum), Alternate Bid - Elevated Tank Mixer (Lump Sum), and Proposed Electrical & Equipment Installation (Lump Sum). Bidders must submit a certified check or bank draft, negotiable U.S. Government bonds at par value, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and an acceptable surety equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. Not less than the prevailing wages as outlined in the contract documents must be paid for this project. The work is subject to the requirements of Section 3, 24 CFR Part 75, and the Illinois Works Jobs Program Act (30 ILCS 559/20 1). The contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. Bidders must not be excluded from participating in any federal assistance program under 24 CFR 85, Subpart C 85.35. Pulaski County reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any informalities. Bids may be held by Pulaski County for up to 30 days from the date of opening for review and qualification of bidders before awarding the contract.
