Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Gallatin, Tennessee. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 27,000-square-foot, two-story above grade municipal facility; and 27,000-square-foot, two-story above grade fire / police facility.

A professional firm will be engaged for Architect and Engineering design services for the construction of a new fire service prototype building that can be scaled for use as a fire station, fire administration offices, and training facility. The project scope includes but is not limited to: Architectural Services, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Interior Design, Landscape Design, Information Technology, Data, and Telecommunications Design. Service responsibilities may include program collaboration and verification with Fire Department and City staff, detailed topographic survey, site constraints analysis and assessment, soil investigations, preparation of detailed plans and specifications for construction (including site, utilities, stormwater, landscaping, and signage), preparation of contract proposal and bidding documents, cost estimates at design milestones, project scheduling, design submissions for review, preparation of post-letting plan revisions, preparation of record documents, obtaining permits, adherence to applicable regulations, construction administration/management, and coordination of City-provided equipment and installation as required. All phases of design must comply with established industry standards outlined by the American Institute of Architects and applicable local, state, and federal guidelines. Select site improvements (such as parking lot enhancements) will also be made to the adjacent Tennessee Army National Guard property. Bidders must be appropriately licensed and experienced, meeting specific minimum qualifications set by the City.
