Renovation of an educational facility in Garden City, New York. Working plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.
Nassau Community College is requesting bids from qualified contractors for a Roof Replacement Project at the Tower Building. The project entails the complete removal and replacement of the roof of the Tower building, including all architectural work. Principal features of the project include bulk ACM abatement, demolition of all existing roofing materials, and replacement with new components. The scope also includes the removal and reinstallation of existing roof mechanical equipment. The contractor will be required to coordinate with any and all antenna work and include any overtime required by the College for work not done during normal working hours. Instructions to bidders: Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope, signed in ink, with the name and address of the bidder, bid number, title, and opening date and time referenced. Required security for bid and a list of subcontractors must accompany the bid. Failure to provide the required security and list of subcontractors will render the bid non-responsive. Bidders must have examined the site and conditions and accept all terms and conditions of the bid and contract documents. All firms entering into contracts must participate in registered and approved apprenticeship training programs as required by local law.
