** As of December 16, 2025 project has been awarded to National Water Main Cleaning Co but no awarded amount.** The project generally consists of cleaning and television inspection of approximately 19,800 linear feet of 8" existing gravity sanitary sewers, testing all joints in each sanitary sewer, grouting joints that do not pass testing, and all other work in accordance with the contract documents for the Borough of Rumson. All work must be fully completed within one hundred and twenty calendar days from issuance of a Notice to Proceed. Proposals must be made on the standard proposal forms included with the contract documents in the manner designated, enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside, and addressed to the Borough of Rumson. Proposals must be accompanied by a statement of consent of surety from a surety company authorized to do business in New Jersey and acceptable to the Owner and either a bid bond or certified check for not less than ten percent of the amount bid, except that the check shall not exceed $20,000.00. The successful bidder must provide a performance bond and labor and material payment bond for the full amount of the project. The award of the contract will not be made until necessary funds have been provided. Proposals are only accepted from bidders who have properly qualified in accordance with the contract documents. This project is partially funded through Federal Grants awarded by the State of New Jersey. Bidders are required to comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, including those regarding affirmative action and labor standards. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to abandon the project, and also to increase or decrease specified quantities as designated in the specifications. The successful bidder must comply with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, including public disclosure provisions.
