Sealed bids are requested for all work required by the contract documents for the Puckett High School Artificial Turf Field project. All bids must be delivered in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the project title and bid number, and include the bidder's company information and all applicable license and registration numbers. Proposals must use the forms provided in the specifications and include a bid security of at least five percent (5%) of the base bid, in the form of a certified check or acceptable bid bond. The security will be forfeited as liquidated damages by any bidder who fails to execute a contract and post performance and payment bonds in the required time. Only full sets of contract documents may be obtained by registered plan holders, and bid documents must be purchased. The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities, reject any or all bids, and postpone action on bids for up to ninety days. All bids over $50,000 must comply with specific state legal requirements regarding construction and related work. Should a bidder find discrepancies in or omissions from the Drawings or Project Manual or be in doubt as to their written meaning, he must immediately notify the Architect in writing.
