Scope of Work includes excavation and embankment to construct detention ponds, installation of storm sewer, and slope pavement. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified or cashier's check in an amount not less than two percent of the total bid, as a guarantee that the successful bidder will execute the contract documents and provide the required insurance certificates and bonds within seven days after the date contract documents are received. If a certified or cashier's check is provided, it must be delivered at the bid opening address within one business day of the bid opening. Bidding documents may be obtained with payment from LJA Engineering, Inc. Electronic bids must comply with the Owner's Order Adopting Section 49.2731 Electronic Bidding Rules and be submitted through the specified online platform. Bidders must register and obtain bidding documents from the platform to submit an electronic bid. By submitting a bid, bidders acknowledge that contract documents may be executed using an Electronic Signature, as defined by the Owner's Electronic Signature Rules for Construction Contracts. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive defects and irregularities in bidding except for the closing time for submitting a bid. The successful bidder will be the responsible bidder deemed most advantageous to the District.
