Anhydrous Ammonia Tank Pump-out Bidders are invited to submit offers for the pump-out of an anhydrous ammonia tank. Questions due by: 12/09/2025 AT 10AM CST Description of Work Contractor service will include:Pumping out and lawful disposal of all contents within the tanks. Clean, air wash, empty tanks and provide vacuum removal of ammonia vapors prior to inspection. Continue providing a vacuum while City trades staff remove and replace the manway cover. Monitor air and provide vacuum on tank to meet safety exposure levels. Services after the inspection will include low pressure testing with an inert gas (i.e. Nitrogen). Tank levels will be equal to or less than 20% (400gal) of the total tank volume prior to work beginning under this contract. City staff will communicate accurate tank level days before service is scheduled. The tanks have not been cleaned within their lifetimes and there is an unknown amount of sludge that may be built up inside. Any sampling or testing of evacuated material must be done by contractor. Material removed shall become the contractors responsibility for lawful disposal or reuse. Transferring of material from one treatment tank to another will not be considered. Prior to beginning work, the contractor shall submit a disposal plan and subsequently submit proof of legal disposal or reuse in accordance with that plan.
