A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** DISCLAIMER: Per FKA Architects documents must be purchased in order to be an official bidder. The project generally consists of the replacement of the existing two rooftop mechanical units serving the Upper Gym at the Upper School. This includes removal and disposal of existing rooftop units, ductwork, accessories, and related components; new electric panels, distribution, and connections to existing; installation of new HVAC units including all duct and utility connections, controls, curbs, and roof modifications; and all other associated work as shown on the drawings and specified. All bidders must use and complete all bid forms and must comply with every requirement contained in the instructions and specifications. Bids are to be marked in a sealed envelope with the name of the project, Upper Gym Mechanical Replacement Project at the Upper School, plainly marked on the front and delivered to Ms. Julyana Ortiz, Business Administrator/Board Secretary at the Englewood Cliffs Board of Education Offices. Every bid must be accompanied by a certified check or a bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid, not exceeding $20,000. All bidders and their subcontractors must be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act. Bids must also include a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate for both the Bidder and all subcontractors. Bidders must comply with requirements regarding non-discrimination and affirmative action. All contractors and subcontractors must agree to be bound by the terms of a Grant Agreement issued by the New Jersey Schools Development Authority, if applicable. No bidder on the State Treasurer's or Federal Government's List of Debarred, Suspended, or Disqualified Bidders shall be eligible. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid is responsive in all material respects to the bid requirements. No bid shall be deemed accepted until formal resolution by the Board of Education. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any minor informality in the bidding process if it is in the best interest of the Board of Education.
