Renovation of an educational facility in Hampton, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.

Carter County, Tennessee is accepting bids for repairs and remediation for Doe River Bank due to flood damage at Hampton High School. All bids must be submitted in writing, meet all specifications, and be received by the indicated deadline. No oral, phone, or faxed bids will be accepted, and late bids will not be considered. Bids should be signed by an authorized representative with the title included. Carter County reserves the right to reject any and all bids, negotiate after the bid, and waive any informalities. General Excavation and Implementation Clarifications: a. The 1'-0' minimum down to 2'-6" embedment depth of the Mattress Gabions below the invert of the Doe Riverstream isto be achieved insofar as possible by excavating from the near high embankment with the minimum amount ofstream disturbance as possible. The "keying' of the mattress is intended to achieve a "base" for the gabion installation that would not be susceptible to "flow net" / scour concerns. Although the excavation may be more difficult in a "top-side" approach, itisto occurin that fashion to minimize impacts to the stream as was agreed upon with both TDEC and FEMA. Other approaches will be considered upon submission to the design team for review. b. Additionally, for excavation stabilization, shoring and de-watering of the "revetment" and "bench" of the base of the Mattress Gabions below and/or at the invert of the Doe River stream, the use of lined clean shot rock as cofferdams, the use of driven steel sheet piling as cofferdams, and/or proprietary de-watering / cofferdam systems will be considered acceptable shoring methods with inclusion of intermittent pumping and dewatering of the "coffered" areas to permit the placement of the Mattress Gabions, ensuring a stable anchorage and locking of said base within the invert of the river. All coffer dam and/or shoring materials to be clean, inert materials (e.g., large rip-rap stone, clean shot rock, steel sheet piles, non-erodible materials, etc.). The contractor shall submit a shoring / coffer dam plan for review and approval prior to implementation. Bidder agrees that the Work will be substantially completed by March 19, 2026. Final Completion shall be achieved within thirty (30) consecutive calendar days after Substantial Completion.
