Site work and paving for an educational facility in Hampton, Tennessee. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility.

Carter County, Tennessee is accepting bids for asphalt paving at Hampton High School. All bids must be submitted in writing and meet all specifications by the stated deadline at the Carter County Finance Office. No oral, phone, or faxed bids are allowed. Late bids are not accepted. Bids should be signed by an authorized representative, including the title of the authorized representative. All sealed bids must be received by the indicated date and should be mailed to the specified address with attention to the bid item. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be submitted to the Construction Manager on the Pre-Bid Question Form provided herein. Interpretations and/or clarifications considered necessary by Construction Manager in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda and delivered to all parties recorded by Construction Manager as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than five (5) days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. The project consists of new asphalt paving, milling and topping, striping, concrete curbs, and misc. site paving. CONTRACT DESCRIPTION A. The project consists of demolition and removal of the existing flood damaged plant. Bidder shall furnish complete design and construction of a new plant in the same approximate location. Bids shall include all costs to provide a complete and fully functional system. The system shall discharge into the Doe River at mile marker 7.6 (same location as before the flooding). Design will be required to discharge an equivalent flow as per the approval permit. Design shall be performed by a registered engineer in the state of Tennessee. Design engineer to coordinate with TDEC for replacement approval and must provide surveyed as-built with closeout documents. Wastewater treatment plant design shall address potential flooding issues and incorporate measures to minimize potential damage from future flooding.
