Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Matawinie Regional County Municipality, Quebec. Design plans call for the construction of a 12,600-square-foot, two-story above grade fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.
Construction of a new fire station in the City. This project aims to replace aging and non-compliant facility, with an investment of approximately $13 million, $7.5 million of which would come from the Quebec government. The new 12,600-square-foot building will house an apparatus bay (truck garage), living quarters (kitchen, dayroom, dorms), administrative offices, fitness room, and decontamination areas. Note. The construction of a municipal garage was removed from the previous scope of the project. TIMELINE: Project is preliminary. The owner is selecting a site for the project construction. Preliminary studies and concept establishment are underway at the awarded architect. Final scope of work and timelines of the project development are being finalized. Further update in late 2026.
