GENERAL DESCRIPTION A heating water vitalizer, also known as a DESLIMER, is a device used to remove sludge, composed of metal particles resulting from corrosion, which accumulates in heating circuits. It protects the components of the installation (boiler, radiators, etc.) and maintains their performance by improving water circulation and preventing excessive energy consumption. DETAILED DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENTS - Each water vitalizer (desludger) must be CSA certified; - The supplier must hold or do business with a company that holds all the necessary licenses and certifications for the manufacture of the devices in question; - Each water vitalizer (desludger) must be designed to swirl the water passing through it twice. - This swirling action must be modeled on a natural watercourse; - The insertion of these devices must significantly and verifiably improve the quality of the heating water in the establishments concerned. - The water vitalizer (desludger) requested must operate in closed heating water systems (on the supply network or the return network of heating water circulating in existing pipes). - There must be no moving parts in the devices in question; - No chemicals may be used; - The supplier must provide training to CSSMB plumbers on the installation of water vitalizers (descalers). - The quantity of water vitalizer (descaler) required according to the calibers is detailed in APPENDIX 1 (at the end of this document). - The manufacturer's technical data sheet in French must be included with the bid.
