The work of this project includes removal of existing vehicle maintenance equipment and replacing with new equipment at the F.T. Heywood Garage (FTH), South Garage (STH), and Overhaul Base (OHB) facilities. This new equipment includes one parallel, three in-ground 3-piston vehicle lifts, and 8 wireless mobile column lifts for bus maintenance. The Work of this Contract is located at the following facilities: o F.T. Heywood Bus Garage o 560 N. 6 th Ave. Minneapolis, MN 55411 o South Bus Garage o 2100 MTC Road Bloomington, MN 55423 o Overhaul Base Bus Garage o 515 Cleveland Ave. N. St. Paul, MN 55114 B. The Work of this Project includes the following: o Underground utility locates. o Demolition and removal of existing lift equipment. o Demolition and removal of existing floor slabs and excavation of soils. o Rerouting of existing underslab electrical conduit and plumbing. o Construction of compressed air lines, hydraulic lines and pump and underground drainage plumbing. o Construction of concrete foundations, including temporary shoring, backfill and compaction of fill for new lift equipment and floor slabs. o Procurement and installation of three (3) 3-piston, one (1) 78,000# parallel and eight (8) 18,500# portable bus lifts. o Construction of electrical power. o Floor slab traffic striping. o Relocation of existing overhead lighting and piping to provide clearance for lifted buses. o Fall protection system at eight (8) locations including structural steel monorail, trolley, retractable lanyard and harness. C. All work must be accomplished compliant with OSHA regulations, as expressed in 29CFR1910 and 29CFR1926. Further, all contractors must identify their Designated Competent Person to the CAR.
