Project will include the following: Selective demolition, cast-in-place concrete, structural steel framing, thermal insulation, EIFS water drainage system, EPDM roofing, sheet metal flashing and trim, roof specialties, acoustical panel ceilings, interior painting, electrical upgrades and HVAC upgrades. Bidders who have registered with and downloaded documents for this project from online will be notified by email when a change or addenda has been posted. A certified check or bank draft payable to the order of Tyrone Snyder Public Library, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total of the Bid, shall be submitted with each bid. The Bidder shall include the fully completed Non-Collusion Affidavit with the Bid. A Performance and Payment Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the amount of the contract and issued by a corporate surety authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will be required to be furnished by the successful bidder within 20 calendar days of the award date. Liquidated damages apply at the rate of $500.00 per calendar day. Proposals must be on the forms furnished by the Tyrone Snyder Public Library. Bids submitted for this project are subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage and related Acts for this project. Compliance with Act 127 of 2012 requiring all contractors and subcontractors to use verify for verification of employment eligibility for all employees will be required. Verification form shall be provided to the Tyrone Snyder Public Library as a precondition of being awarded a contract. Bids may be held by the Tyrone Snyder Public Library for up to 60 days from the date of bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications prior to awarding the contract. Awards shall be made only to responsible bidders that possess the potential ability to perform successfully under the terms and conditions of this procurement. Consideration shall be given to such matters as bidder integrity, compliance with public policy, record of past performance and financial and technical resources when determining responsibility.
