Summary General work description: The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) will be soliciting an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for "Roll-Up Door Replacement for Guadalupe Yard Building A" (Project). Inquiries regarding this Request for Pre-Qualification shall be directed by e-mail to Kelly Tran at kelly.tran@vta.org. Notice is hereby given that VTA is now soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from bidders (Bidders) with construction expertise to furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, services, supervision, and incidentals necessary to build full scope includes replacement of 8 existing roll-up doors with bi-fold doors in the Guadalupe Light Rail Yard, building A. Modify existing paint compressor shed to allow the swing of the new doors. Full scope is split into three-part bid. The base bid will include the replacement of the 4 doors at tracks #3 and #4 and the compressor shed modifications. Bid option 1 will include the replacement of the two doors at track #7 and bid option 2 will include the replacement of the two doors at track #8. Background This Request for Pre-Qualification of Bidders is intended to solicit information in the form of a qualification questionnaire and qualification statements. All Bidders that intend to submit a bid for the Project must fully complete the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire, provide all materials requested herein, and be approved by VTA in order to be included on the final qualified Bidders list. No bid will be accepted from a Bidder that has failed to comply with these requirements. If two or more contractors submit a SOQ as part of a Joint Venture, or expect to submit a SOQ as part of a Joint Venture, each entity within the Joint Venture must be separately pre-qualified. Please submit your Pre-Qualification Questionnaire, provide all materials requested herein before the Submission Deadline. Inquiries regarding this Request for Pre-Qualification shall be directed by e-mail to Kelly Tran at kelly.tran@vta.org. The estimated cost of construction for the Project is in the range of : o Base Bid: $984,700.00 to $1,332,200.00, *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
