The Town of Westport is soliciting proposals for Special Inspections and Material Testing Services for the Long Lots Elementary School Project. The project entails the construction of a new Long Lots Elementary School on the existing site, while keeping the current school operational until the new building is completed. After completion, the new school will open, the old building will be demolished, and the parking lot and site work finalized. The new building is designed to be all electric, utilize geothermal systems for heating, cooling, and domestic hot water, and feature on-site photovoltaic energy generation with a goal of achieving Net Zero energy. Bidders are to provide services related to Special Inspection & Material Testing including purchase, installation, migration, subscription, maintenance, and warranty for the project. The Town reserves the right to waive any defects or informality in bidding, to reject any or all bids, and to accept the bid deemed in its best interest.
