This contract is for sanitary sewer improvements. Work includes, but is not limited to: Sanitary Sewer Root Control Retreatment, in a foam form, to approximately 62,710 linear feet of sanitary sewer line in the Township of Woodbridge. The sanitary sewer lines range in size from 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 18, and 24 inches in diameter and 1 manhole, with the majority of the sewer being 8 inches in diameter. Sewer improvements are in various locations throughout the municipality. Bids must be submitted on the Proposal Form furnished to the Bidder and accompanied by a certified check or bid bond for not less than ten percent of the amount of the bid, but not to exceed $20,000.00. Each bid must also be accompanied by a certificate of consent of surety from a bonding company licensed to do business in the State of New Jersey and acceptable to the Township, guaranteeing that if the proposal is accepted, the required bond will be furnished. The successful bidder must comply with the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, all requirements of the State of New Jersey Worker Health and Safety Act, and the United States Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) with regard to worker and jobsite safety. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a surety company bond in the full amount of the contract price for the faithful performance of the work. All labor shall be covered by an approved health and hospital insurance plan, approved pension plan, and an apprenticeship training program according to the Department of Labor and Industry Act of 1948, with a statement of employee benefits to be included following the statement of ownership in the bid package. The Municipal Council reserves the right to accept or deny any or all bids in the best interest of the Township.
