The work includes an annual full turn-key spring recondition installation for eight (8) clay tennis courts at Foote Memorial Park. The courts must be rolled to compaction prior to cleaning. Excess surface materials are to be removed, scraped using lutes, and disposed of off-site, including all vegetation, dead materials, and leaves. Courts are to be scarified as required and leveled with a 12’ straightedge. Baselines require patching to improve heavy wear zones, including build-up at the tennis nets, and laser grading to fill ruts, holes, and depressions caused by seasonal runoff. A minimum of one ton of Har-Tru or an equal clay product must be applied per court and evenly distributed using a mechanical spreader. Courts will be hydrated, brushed, and rolled to proper compaction. Courts will be surveyed, and new top grade lines will be installed. Each court requires 100 pounds of calcium chloride. Courts need to be groomed, and nets installed to the proper height. Three references are required from bidders for tennis court clay installation.
