Demolition and site work for an office development in Owensboro, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the demolition of a one-story above grade office development.
The City of Owensboro is seeking a reputable contractor to demolish one structure. The successful bidder shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals required to demolish, remove, and dispose of the structure and debris from the property in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal requirements. This includes the removal of the building structure, all applicable concrete, foundations, basements, associated plumbing, piping, mechanical and electrical components, surrounding deck and concrete slabs, abandoned utilities, garages or sheds, and backfilling, with proper compaction of the structure footprint. Driveway aprons and public sidewalks shall be protected and remain undisturbed. The contractor must obtain all required permits, ensure proper utility disconnections, develop and implement erosion control measures, and restore the site. The specific structure for demolition is the commercial building at 1829 Triplett Street, which is to be removed as asbestos material per all relevant regulations. The contractor is responsible for site familiarity, removal of trees and shrubs within 3 feet of the foundation, and must comply with all provided detailed specifications and supplemental instructions. All submission, qualification, compliance, and insurance requirements must be met, with bids submitted through the City's online Bonfire Portal. Separate pricing options for different scopes of work outside the base bid scope must be approved by the City at least 7 days before bid opening to be considered. Any deviations or exceptions to specifications must be clearly cited and justified in the bid submission. No deviation below minimum specifications will be accepted. All work must be completed within 60 days from issuance of PO. A minimum of one year workmanship warranty is required, and proper payment terms must be stated in the bid.
