Renovation of a laboratory facility in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a laboratory facility.
Battelle Energy Alliance, LLC (BEA), the Management and Operating Contractor for the U.S. Department of Energy's Idaho National Laboratory (INL), is seeking qualified vendors to upgrade the HVAC system at PBF-612. The project involves modernizing heating systems and reducing reliance on fuel oil infrastructure to improve energy efficiency and align with INL's sustainability goals. The existing HVAC system includes an air handling unit (HV-AHU-1) with a fuel oil burner and three wall-mounted air conditioning units. The scope of work includes removing the existing fuel oil burner inside HV-AHU-1 and installing an electric resistance heater in its place. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
