Reference Number 0000405104 The Town is looking for architectural design and construction administration services to help the Town re-purpose the former Guiteras School, located 35 Washington Street, into a Government Center/Town Hall. The Town's current offices at 10 Court Street (Town Administrator, Town Clerk and Vault, Finance, Tax Assessor, Human Resources) and at 235 High Street (Department of Community Development - Planning/Zoning/Building/Historic District/Code Compliance) will be combined and re-located to the former Guiteras School building. A feasibility study has already been conducted and it has been determined that this decommissioned school building will accommodate the proposed uses. The Town now desires to move forward with the design phase, bidding phase and construction phase of the necessary renovations. The Town has a limited budget for this work and an important component of the project will be to evaluate those improvements necessary for the re-use as a government center/ town hall and those improvements that could be done in later phases.
