Renovation of a military facility in Opelika, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade military facility.
Sealed bids are requested for the construction of re-roofing the Dallas B. Smith Armory Building. Only bids from competent general contractors will be considered; at the time of contract award, the successful bidder must be a properly licensed general contractor. Bidders are required to have a State of Alabama General Contractor's License and must submit the contractor's license number and a copy of the license with their proposal. All bidders must possess any other licenses or permits required by law, rule, or regulation for the performance of the work. Attendance at a mandatory pre-bid meeting at the project site is required for all intending bidders. Drawings and specifications will be distributed via email at no charge after the pre-bid meeting, and bid documents will also be available online. Proposals must be submitted on the original forms provided and completed in full. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond for five percent of the bid amount. Performance and payment bonds for the full contract sum are required of the successful bidder. The owner reserves the right to reject all bids and waive irregularities. Bids must be sealed and properly marked for delivery.
