Northern Health maintains a range of housing across the region for health care staff that are working in the region either on a temporary basis or are moving to the community and require temporary housing. The intent of providing housing is to ensure health care staff have a safe, comfortable, and modern accommodation experience after providing health care services to the community. The services required will include, but are not limited to: Cleaning all shared areas once every two (02) weeks. Areas include kitchen, bathroom, living room, entrance, and the odd bedroom between staff. Restocking consumables, such as toilet paper, paper towel, dish soaps, dishwasher pods, laundry soap, etc. Additional cleaning on a needs-be basis. Cleaning bedrooms when an occupant moves out. This include doing laundry of beddings/linens. Removal of perishable food left behind by occupants. Bi-monthly deep cleaning Making note of standard inventory items and reporting to Northern Health for replacement. Report any items that are lost, stolen, or missing to the Housing Coordinator. Report any items that need to be repaired to the Housing Coordinator. Report to any new or visible damages to the Housing Coordinator. The Contractor may be required to be called upon to perform other tasks required. These tasks are led by Northern Health, but the Contractor will provide support in performing them. This Request for Expression of Interest (RFEOI) pertains to the cleaning of multiple residential properties, which comprise a mix of townhouses, houses, and apartments. The successful Proponent must be capable of providing cleaning services for all residences. Please note that kitchens are hard wood or linoleum flooring and some of the shared areas are carpeted stairs and living rooms. Vendors with a real, or perceived Conflict of Interest, must disclose this in their submission. The selected Proponent is scheduled to commence the required Services on April 1, 2026. Should there be any need for changes to this start date, the designated Contact Person below will reach out to the successful Proponent to select an alternative starting date for the agreement. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
