Site work for a mixed-use development in Lower Moreland Township, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility; and water / sewer project.
**As of January 27, 2026 , this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on January 29, 2026.** Lower Moreland Township seeks to make improvements to the stormwater management facilities located near the intersection of Ramage Run Road and County Line Road as well as the Pine Road Elementary School basin. Included will be erosion control measures, clear and grub, basin excavation, construction of baffle walls, outlet structures, amended soils and final stabilization. Requirements for a 10% Bid Bond, 100% Performance Bond, and 100% Payment Bond are included in the contract documents. Prevailing state wage rates and Public Works Employment Verification Act will apply on this project. Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instruction to Bidders. The Township of Lower Moreland Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to make such award as appears most advantageous to the Township. Lower Moreland Township seeks to make improvements to a stormwater management facility located near the intersection of Ramage Run Road and County Line Road in our community. The existing facilities do not provide a standard of water quality improvement necessary to meet modern obligations. All work illustrated on/in the bid documents has been distilled into general work categories. The contractor is hereby notified that all work shown on the plans is to be included in his or her bid. Therefore, contractors are required to perform the following activities: 1. Erosion Control Measures - The bid documents contain plans that describe an obligation to install certain erosion control measures that will include stone tire cleaners, silt sock, temporary stabilization, and good construction sequence protocols. Under this scope of work, the contractor is required to provide the manpower materials expertise to implement this plan. 2. Clear and Grub - Under this scope of work the contractor is to provide the manpower equipment and materials necessary to remove the invasive vegetation that has overtaken these basins and prepare the basin for future and further improvement. 3. Basin Excavation - Under this scope of work the contractor is required to review the design plans and acknowledge that a significant amount of soil and subsurface materials are being removed from the dual basin configuration. The contractor is also obligated to excavate the basins to the design contours, provide manpower equipment and expertise to load this excess material and dispose of the material at a location of their choosing. 4. Baffle Wall /Forebay - Under this scope of work the contractor is required to provide the manpower materials and equipment necessary to construct a gabion baffle wall that is intended to serve as a spillway bifurcating the low flow stormwater conditions from severe storm event flows. 5. Outlet Structures - Under this scope of work the contractor will be required to provide the manpower equipment and expertise to remove the existing storm water basin outlet structures and replace them with the new outlet configurations as shown on the details on the plan documents. 6. Basin Underdrains - Under this scope of work the contractor is to provide the manpower equipment and materials necessary to install all underdrains as specified on the plans. 7. Stone Channel - Under this scope of work the contractor is to provide the manpower equipment and materials necessary to install all stone channels. 8. Emergency Spillway - Under this scope of work the contractor is to provide the manpower equipment and materials necessary to install spillway as specified per the plan details. 9. Amended Soils - Under this scope of work, the contractors required to provide the manpower equipment and materials necessary to establish the filtering soils intended to improve water quality and provide a growing medium conducive to wetland vegetation. 10. Final stabilization - under this scope of work, the contractor will be obligated to provide the manpower equipment and materials necessary to establish the vegetation required to fully stabilized the work area
