This project consists rehabbing the existing elevated 200,000 gallon water tower located on North Main Street. Specific repairs include but are not limited to: white blasting and re-painting the tank interior; replacement of the interior ladder, top ladder/access collar, and safety climb device, spot area repairs, and spot painting the exterior due to metal repairs; and other appurtenant work. The Work consists of the following: 1. The Work includes: a. Remove and replace interior ladder b. Remove and replace interior safety climb device c. Remove and replace roof hatch collar/ladder support d. Spot surface rust pitting repairs e. Interior wet surface prep (SSPC-SP10) and two coat ceramic epoxy coating f. Exterior spot surface prep, prime, and painting areas damaged from spot interior repairs Project Location: North Main Street, Zeigler, Illinois 62999 No pre-bidding conference will be held, contractors may view the project site by making arrangements directly with the City Question Deadline 12/05/2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to ENGINEER/ARCHITECT in writing . Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. All proposals shall be accompanied by either a bid bond on the "Proposal Bid Bond" form contained in the proposal, executed by a corporate surety company satisfactory to the City of Zeigler, or a bank cashier's check, an irrevocable letter of credit or a properly certified check payable to the City of Zeigler for not less than 5 percent (5%) of the amount bid, or for the amount listed in the specifications. No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening of the bids is past. Bidders are notified that not less than the prevailing wage rate as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor shall be paid to all workers performing work under this contract. Bids may be held by the City of Zeigler for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract. The City of Zeigler reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technicalities and reserves the right to determine the qualifications of any and all contractors to perform the work required under this contract.
