Sealed bids are requested for the Roof Replacement at Burr Ridge Middle School. Lump sum bid proposals will be received and publicly opened and read aloud. Each bid must include a Bid Guarantee of at least ten percent (10%) of the bid amount in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, or Bank Draft payable to Board of Education, Burr Ridge CCSD 180. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after opening without the Owner's consent. The successful bidder must provide a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond in the full contract amount. Bids should be submitted in an opaque sealed envelope clearly marked as SEALED BID and addressed appropriately. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof or waive any irregularities. The contract is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. Each bidder must complete the qualification process described in Section 004395 - General Requirements by providing required Qualification Documents with the sealed bid for review by the Owner and Architect. Bidding documents are available electronically at the indicated reprographics provider. A mandatory pre-bid meeting walk-through for Prime contractors is scheduled at the school; subcontractors are encouraged but not required to attend. Attendance at the walk-through will be recorded, and non-attendance may result in bid rejection.
