Categories of work include Jack & Bore-Sewer Water Utility Construction, Water Utilities, Traffic Control, Water Main (Repair Replace) Rehabilitation, Waterlines, and Dredging (water, sediment, material). All work must be done in accordance with specifications and plans on file with Mears Engineers, LLC. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope showing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project. If sent by mail, enclose the bid envelope in another envelope addressed as specified. All blank bid price spaces must be completed in ink, typewritten, and shown in both words and figures. Bids submitted more than ninety-six hours before or after the time set for receipt will be returned unopened. Accompany each bid with a cashier's check, certified check, or surety bond in the amount of five percent of the bid as a guarantee, and the successful bidder must enter into a written contract and furnish required bonds within ten days of bid acceptance. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to cancel all or any portion of the project within thirty days of bid opening at its discretion. Pre-qualification: Required The Contractor shall complete the work in accordance with the terms of this Agreement within a period of time not to exceed 90 calendar days following the issuance by the Engineer of a Work Order authorizing the Contractor to commence work on the project.
