Renovation of a theater / auditorium in Asheville, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a theater / auditorium.
Prequalifying for 1st Tier Subcontractors for comprehensive renovation of Lipinsky Hall. 1st tier subcontract trade packages include but may be subject to change are: Final Cleaning, Demolition, Abatement, Sitework, Landscape & Irrigation, Concrete, Brick Masonry, Concrete Masonry Units, Exterior Cladding, Structural Steel, Miscellaneous Metals, Cold Formed Metal Framing, Monumental Stair, Rough Carpentry, Millwork & Architectural Woodwork, MDF Paneling, Damp Proofing & Waterproofing, Fire Caulking & Fireproofing, Soffits, Membrane Roofing, Metal Doors & Frames, Wood Doors & Frames, Specialty Doors & Frames, Storefront & Entrances, Curtain Wall, Hardware, Interior Glazing, Exterior Glazing, Gypsum Board, Hard Tile & Stone, Acoustical Ceiling Tile, Acoustical Baffles & Specialty Ceilings, Specialty Function Ceilings, Resilient Carpet & Carpet, Wood Performance Floor, Fabric Wall Panels, Acoustical Diffusion Panels, Painting & Wallcoverings, Signage, Toilet Partitions & Accessories, Interior Storefront Partitions, Fire Protection, Lockers, Canopies, Audio / Visual, Appliances, Drapery, Shading, Theater Shell, Theater Seating, Elevators, Scaffolding, Plumbing, Plumbing Fixtures, HVAC, Electrical, Communications / Structured Cabling, Security Access & Surveillance, Fire Alarm, Earthwork, Site Concrete, and Utilities. To qualify, the subcontractor must meet all applicable State of North Carolina licensing requirements as well as applicable bonding requirements. The subcontractor must show comparable work experience, both in complexity and dollar value, and preferably in a college campus environment, pertaining to one or more of the trades or scopes of work outlined above. Similar project experience will be considered during prequalification. Historically underutilized business participation is highly encouraged. Construction Manager anticipates bid advertisement to prequalified contractors in February 2026. Anticipated notice to proceed in March 2026.
