Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Springfield, Illinois. Completed plans call for the construction of a one-story above grade educational facility; one-story above grade power facility; for site work for a educational facility; and power facility.
Qualified electrical/solar contractors are invited to submit sealed bids to furnish all labor and material for the installation of a roof mount solar array for the Solar Powered Commercial Construction Training Lab. All contracts for the construction of public works are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act and the Drug Free Workplace Act. Contractors and subcontractors must demonstrate experience on projects of similar size and type and must be prequalified with the Capital Development Board for a minimum of 45 days. Bids must include a bid deposit equal to 5% of the amount bid. LLCC reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive informalities, or permit timely correction of minor deficiencies in bids in the interest of LLCC, and to accept the bid or bids most favorable to LLCC after examination and evaluation. All interested contractors must attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting/site visit at the LLCC main campus. Bid documents are available to qualified contractors from the offices of Berners-Schober Associates, Inc. for a refundable deposit upon return of the documents in good condition.
