Children's Safety Village Roof Replacement (Re-bid) - RFP #fd27-07 All Contracts for the Construction of Public Works Are Subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. Certified Female and Minority Business Enterprises Are Encouraged to Submit Proposals for This Project. SCOPE The City of Springfield desires to contract for roof replacement for all three buildings at the Children's Safety Village, located at 4521 S 11th St in Springfield, Illinois. This work shall include the following: o Remove existing roofing to deck o Replace decking as needed (shall be approved by Owner prior to replacement) o Install synthetic underlayment (Roofrunner or approved equal) o Install Swiftstart (or equal) starter shingles along compete perimeter of roof o Install CertainTeed Landmark Pro Streakfighter algae-resistant shingles (or equal) (color to match existing) o 50-year Surestart protection (or equal) o 130 mph wind warranty o Install proper roof ventilation o Install CertainTeed (or approved equal) ice guard around perimeter of roof, in all valleys, and at all penetrations o Install new drip edge, plumbing boots, flashing where needed o Install new gutters and downspouts o Roof area is approximately 4700 square feet (contractor to verify) o Barn ~ 800 sq ft o Church ~ 2432 sq ft o House ~ 1465 sq ft o Any sheathing replacement must be approved by owner prior to installation. The Contractor is responsible to remove all waste materials, debris and rubbish on a daily basis utilizing trucks, trailers or dumpsters. If a dumpster is required or utilized, provide covered and lockable containers (dumpster) for deposit of waste materials, debris and rubbish from site, and dispose of offsite. Prices to include all labor and materials, as well as all cleanup and disposal.
