Bids are requested for furnishing water treatment chemicals, consisting of materials and/or services as described. All chemicals must be AWWA certified for potable water use. Bidders do not have to bid on every chemical. All chemicals to be delivered upon 7 days notice, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM only. Deliveries of drums and 150 lb cylinder items must be made with a power lift gate on the truck. Empty returnable chlorine, chlorite, and caustic soda cylinders and drums must be picked up monthly. Quantities may be increased or decreased by up to one hundred percent with no change in unit price. Award will be based on the lowest bid received for each chemical, and prices must include delivery and all applicable charges, with no additional surcharges or fees allowed. Chemicals listed: - CHLORINE: 15,000 lbs to be delivered as needed, priced per pound in 150 lb. cylinders. - LIQUID ALUM (AL2SO4 – Aluminum Sulfate): 25,000 gallons to be delivered as needed in 3,700-gallon shipments, minimum 48.5% solution, specific gravity 1.33, priced per dry ton delivered. - LIQUID SODIUM CHLORITE 25% Solution (NaClO2): 1,200 gallons to be delivered as needed in 55-gallon drums, solution must be 25% by weight and suitable for chlorine dioxide generation, priced per pound (inclusive, based on disposable or returnable drums). - LIQUID CAUSTIC SODA (Sodium Hydroxide) 50% Solution: 3,250 gallons to be delivered as needed in 55-gallon drums, solution must be 50% by weight and suitable for drinking water treatment, priced per pound (inclusive, based on disposable or returnable drums). Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked as indicated.
