Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Grafton, Ontario. Design plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
Replacement of the ice rink floor slab project at the Haldimand Community Memorial Arena. Remove and dispose of existing dasher boards, netting, existing concrete rink floor and sub floor insulation. Remove and dispose of up to 24” of existing native soil. Supply, install, level and compact granular fill and clean sand (to level new pad). Supply and install two 2” layers of subfloor insulation c/w vapour barrier. Supply and install new 6” thick reinforced concrete rink floor. Repair header trench wall. Furnish and install new dasher boards and safety netting. Refrigeration Work: Remove and dispose of existing shell and tube brine chiller including existing chromated brine charge and existing ammonia charge. Demo existing headers in trench. Remove and dispose of existing brine pump. Supply and install new shell and tube chiller c/w surge drum and glycol pump. Supply and install new cold glycol mains from refrigeration room to existing trench. Supply and install new cold floor pipe grid and headers. Supply and install new cold glycol charge and ammonia charge. Provisions for modifications to existing relief or new relief system. TIMELINE: An RFP for engineering design has been awarded. Design is underway, Updates on construction timelines may be available late spring 2026.
